The children made cornbread today. More alarmingly they made butter to go with it - by shaking jars of buttermilk! We go back for the taste test in a couple of hours time. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving for First Grade

5th November - at the White House
As Richard flew back from Florida, I flew back from Ohio, Alex was producing in DC, and we spent the evening broadcasting from the roof of the Hay Adams hotel with a dozen other camera crews ....watching the sun set over the White House.
Why I loved Columbus Ohio
My home for five days in the countdown to the election. The hotel was featureless - concrete, glass, anonymous. Ten minutes north I found the Short North neighbourhood - fantastic architecture, art galleries, markets, coffee shops. And lots and lots of Obama posters!
Granny Margaret's visit
